philip_football_rPhilip Aimuts lacerated his spleen and bruised his kidney during a scrimage when he landed on an opposing team’s illegally exposed backplate. “I was training every day getting ready for football season and was in the best shape, and I lost it … I lost all of it in one play,” says Aimutis. “My injury was preventable and I have made it my mission to make sure that when kids play they are SAFE! It is not only important to wear protective equipment while playing football, but the equipment must be worn properly. I am one of the lucky ones to heal from a serious football injury. I have fought and worked hard to regain my strength and I want my voice to be heard: Be safe, hit hard, and be smart. Most equipment injuries can be prevented.”

Philip has been working hard spreading his message to various youth organizations, referees’ associations, coaches’ associations, the NCAA, and the NFL. He has even contacted the White House about FESA.
